The lake is not the only natural resource Lecco has to offer: the town is surrounded by a stunning mountain chain, with peaks ranging from 900 to 2400 meters above the sea level. The Grigna (locally known as Queen Grigna) and the San Martino mountains on one side, and the Resegone mountain (locally known as King Resegone) on the other side create a natural frame surrounding the city. If you love mountains, Lecco has a vast array of activities to offer such as hiking, climbing, skiing or mountain-bike tours. The less adventurous tourists will enjoy relaxing activities like long walks across numerous paths in the woods.
