Lecco’s town museums, collectively known as Musei Civici, include: Villa Manzoni – where the famous writer used to spend his summer holidays – Palazzo Belgioioso – where you can find the archaeological museum, the historical museum, the natural history museum and the planetarium – Palazzo delle Paure and Torre Viscontea.

Villa Monastero, an ancient convent originally built by the Cistercian order whose origins date back to the late 12th century, was transformed into an elegant mansion house towards the end of 1500. It now hosts courses as well as scientific, cultural and administrative conferences.
Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo, with its charming garden, is famous not only for its panoramic position, but also for the harmonious coexistence of different styles and its literary influences that make it a must-see for those who arrive on the shores of the Lake. Here you will admire trees and plants from all over the world and there are more than 150 varieties of azaleas.
Villaggio Crespi d’Adda, a late nineteenth century Workers’ Village perfectly preserved, today part of UNESCO World Heritage.
